Last week I came across this really cool tutorial given by Ashley over at Make It & Love It . I couldn't wait to try it! I have a Silhouette, and am still learning how to use it, so I love finding new projects that I can use it with! (I was so anxious to get started I wasn't very good at taking step by step pictures. Whoops!)
First step is to cut your vinyl and desired design. Using the negative cut out place it on the glass. (The votives were purchased at the Dollar Tree, and they could easily be used for a drinking glasses as well!)
Using Armor Etch place it over your design, be very careful with where you place this stuff!! It is PERMANENT and CAN NOT be wiped off! Let it sit for 7-10 minutes and then rinse it off with tap water, wiping the excess amount off.
And ta da! They are kind of hard to see in the pictures but they turned out great!
This one is my favorite*!!! I am ALWAYS using my pyrex and leaving it here and there, this way with my name on it, it won't get lost! As Ashely mentioned, it is such a great idea for a wedding gift to etch the newlyweds last name on a set of pyrex.
I might be going on an etching phase, and I will be sharing ;)
